Stat Geek

What's up dudes and dudettes. It's been nearly two weeks since I've blogged and my buddy Tex asked me if one of my resolutions was to write less. While he remains a jerk who likes Bieber YouTube videos, he is also right... Kinda. I have partly been a slacker. But also our laptop is on the fritz, I don't like blogging from the iPad because posting videos and pictures is a pain, and I don't want to stay late at work or bring home a work computer to write. So I apologize for sucking at updating this lately. It hurts me more than it hurts you.

Anyway, when I DO get back into doing this more often, one of the goals for the year is to do more reviews of stuff. But because I am a numbers nerd to some degree, I want to use those reviews to track things throughout the year. It is my hope that some day I will make it to Heaven, and when I get there, God will be able to tell me exactly how many baskets I have ever made in my life, how many total miles I have ever walked, how many hours I have spent on a toilet, and any other meaningless stat you can think of. Wouldn't that be cool?

I digress. The purpose of this was to share 5 things I want to track through 2012. Those are miles run, blog entries written (easy), movies watched, books read, and different beers drank. Entries written is tracked easily by blogger. I want to top 100. Miles run (ran?) will be tracked each month, and hopefully be enough motivation to disallow me from putting on all the weight I lost during marathon training.

The other three will be tracked and reviewed using the three links on the side of this blog. My Movies. My Books. My beers. Ideally I will start adding more detailed reviews, but it's a start for now, and a new feature on here, 100% free of charge to all readers. How bout them apples?

I have seen more movies than are listed on there, but I am keeping a list. Anyway, that's it for tonight. Just a quick update. More coming soon on the Polar Plunge, some tv watching, and whatever else I want today I will write about and probably forget to. Sorry for no pics or vid. Also, any grammatical errors are brought to you by our new sponsor, iPad.

Love you all, (new sign off to replace Slainte?)
Gary
