So You Had a Bad Day?

I don't know if I'd say today was a bad day, but it was borderline crappy for me. It was one of those days that makes people say 'case of the Mondays', except I'm not someone who would say something like that. Did anything REALLY bad happen? Nope. I just couldn't get it going. I felt real scattered, my mind was in ten places at once, I dropped an excessive amount of F-bombs in the office, but right now, I couldn't really say why. When I was trying to get through emails, the phone kept ringing. When I was on the phone, people stopped in. When people were there, I couldn't focus because I was thinking about the calls or emails. Nothing terrible, just one of those days. When I went to work out at lunchtime and let off some steam, I somehow managed to hurt myself without really pushing that hard. Eff.

But the nice thing is that when I have one of those days, or even when I have a bad day, maybe a handful of people know. I share office with students quite often, so they know when I curse at the computer. My boss knows when I don't follow through on something. My co-workers know, because we're a pretty tight-knit bunch, and I hide emotions about as well as I tan. And Kalee knows because, well, she just always knows. But the list just about ends there. But you know what? My 'bad' day wasn't really that bad at all.

Especially when you compare my bad day to Billy Cundiff or Kyle Williams' bad days at the office yesterday, it's a walk in the park. How terrible would it be to have the whole country witness your bad day? Not just a bad day, but now a terrible offseason, and things that will scar their careers. That stinks. I was pulling for both those teams to some degree, and to see it come that close for their teams, and then have your name and season remembered by that? That's a bad day.

You know what's kinda funny, mostly annoying? As I'm writing this and trying to include a pic, or anything else, the computer is giving me problems of course. So for no other reason except to smile, I put a recent pic of my smiling dog Toby.

Here's a pretty funny spoof we saw this weekend of Siri, which lets your phone talk back to you.

Slainte,
Gary
